This web site was a record of our Bichon's first, and only, litter of five puppies, two boys and three girls. We decided to keep a record of the first 8 weeks of their lives which we hope will give you a great insight into the early lives of these gorgeous puppies and may help you decide whether the Bichon Frise is the right breed for you. We hope you enjoy finding out what happened. Our puppies grew up in a loving family home and were treated like part of the family, we interacted with them everyday and we made sure every one of our puppies went to a loving home.

The wonderful sprit of the Bichon is evident in everything they do, from simply sitting on your lap to the excitement of a walk. The Bichon is just happy to go along with what you decide to do today. They make such wonderful companions for any age group, especially young children.
Walks can be few and far between or regular daily hikes, the bichon will fit around you and be the most faithful, friendly dog you have ever owned. They will become an important part of your family and many people who have owned a Bichon is a convert for life. Simply put, we would say that owning a Bichon Frise will genuinely make you a happier person.
The bichon puppy has a close resemblance to the Maltese puppy, with its soft white fluffy coat, and is one of the cutest puppies you will ever see. Some have very faint pale markings on the coat which disappear as they grow. The Bichon's characteristic pure white, curly coat starts to develop at around six months of age. One of the most unique features of the coat is that it is non shedding which is great for allergy sufferers and also your carpets. Lots of people who have severe allergic reactions when in contact with other dogs, rarely have any reaction at all when they are with a Bichon Frise and so find that they can own one without problems.
Contrary to what you may have heard, we have found that they are not high maintenance dogs and a quick daily brush is enough to keep their coats in good order. Remember, family pets are not show dogs so you will know when your dog needs a good groom and when a simple brush through will do. Small tangles in the coat are easily trimmed off. Don't let the stories of high maintenance dogs put you off owning one, we have found they are not. Click here to follow the puppies story from the beginning.
